YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE COME HERE by Jeneva Rose

When Grace decides to take a getaway and stay on a remote Wyoming ranch with the owner of the home, it seems like it will be an ideal way to relax. Little does she know that she will begin to fall for her host. Everything seems to be going her way until a sheriff arrives to inquire about a missing woman who was supposed to have stayed on the ranch a few weeks prior. What follows is a dramatic, heart pounding thriller that is sure to entrance readers but also make them question booking their next Air BnB.

Jeneva Rose has written a dynamite thriller in You Shouldn’t Have Come Here. From the very beginning, readers will, no doubt, begin to try to piece together the story that is unfolding. If you think that you will have it all figured out by the end, think again. Rose takes readers on quite a ride. Twist after turn, it becomes more and more obvious that it is fruitless to try and figure out the ending because Rose enjoys throwing more curveballs than the best pitcher in baseball.

It is best to go into the novel as blind as possible, thus giving the reader the joy of wondering what could possibly happen next. It could be argued that this may become the book of the summer, due to how much fun it is. Rest assured, the ending is a treat and will most likely leave your mouth agape for a good while after finishing it.

Note: Having never read one of her novels, I was intrigued to pick it up after seeing a TikTok video that she had created. I was worried I would have trouble finding an audiobook version through Libby, due to the fact it seemed like it was going to be a hit. Would you believe it was available on the morning I checked? Score.
